At Cosmic Tree Woodcraft, all of our custom-built furniture is handcrafted using locally sourced wood. This means the materials we use come from nearby mills, tree services, and hardwood suppliers right here in the South Jersey area. We prioritize using local wood, and only incorporate wood from big-box stores or imported exotic varieties when specifically requested by clients and only when necessary.
At Cosmic Tree Woodcraft, we frequently use Black Walnut, Cherry, Ash, Maple, Oak, Cedar, and Hickory to craft furniture for our South Jersey clients. This list is just a starting point, as there are variations within these types, such as Red Oak and White Oak, Red Cedar and White Cedar, and Striped Maple and Sugar Maple. Each type of wood offers a unique aesthetic, whether you prefer a clean, uniform look or one with bold, swirling grain patterns and lots of character.

If your furniture needs to fit within specific space constraints, we'll take the necessary measurements at the start. Once your project enters the build phase, we'll keep you informed with regular updates and progress photos. When complete, we'll personally deliver your furniture to your South Jersey location, without using a third-party delivery service.
However, we do not handle installations for pieces that require mounting, such as floating shelves. Our services end with delivery. Additionally, we won't increase the cost of your project due to unforeseen circumstances on our end. If you request design changes that raise material and labor costs, those adjustments will be reflected in the final price.
Cosmic Tree Woodcraft is run by a U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard veteran with a passion for crafting one-of-a-kind wood furniture. Growing up, I was inspired by watching my father tackle DIY projects in the various homes we lived in. When I was six, he began teaching me the ropes, and we worked on projects together until I was able to complete them on my own. After serving in active duty with the U.S. Air Force, I transitioned to the Delaware Air National Guard, where I've served for over 20 years. Since 2009, woodworking has been my craft, and in 2023, I decided to take my hobby to the next level by offering custom furniture commissions professionally. Cosmic Tree Woodcraft now proudly serves South Jersey, backed by over 15 years of woodworking experience.
